Complete Pilot Training
If you’re ready to earn your wings, our initial training program will guide you through every step of the process. From your first lesson to solo flight and certification, we provide the knowledge, structure, and hands-on experience needed to become a confident, capable gyroplane pilot.

Add-On Ratings & Flight Reviews
Looking to expand your pilot certificate? We specialize in gyroplane add-on ratings, one of the most common paths for pilots transitioning into gyro flight. We also conduct flight reviews to keep you compliant and confident in the air.
Glider & Single-Seat Gyro Training
We are currently developing gyro glider training at El Mirage, ideal for pilots interested in flying Bensen or other single-seat gyroplanes. This foundational training is invaluable for mastering aircraft control and understanding gyro aerodynamics in a focused environment.
Advanced Flight Instruction
Ready to take your skills further? Our advanced training covers precision maneuvers such as spot landings and high-rate descents. Learn how to safely and confidently bring a gyroplane down into tight landing areas with accuracy and control.

A Lifetime in Gyros
Gyroplanes aren’t just what we do—they’re who we are. With a lifetime immersed in gyro aviation, our experience runs deep. CFI, David Bacon had his first flight in a Bensen Glider before he turned 2. By the time he was 5 years old, he was flying and landing gliders twice a month in the local desert. Since childhood, he has added decades of hands-on flying, building, and instructing… You will be learning from a truly passionate and knowledgeable instructor, one who was “stamped gyro” at birth.
Training Locations
We operate out of two excellent Southern California airports:
Oceanside Municipal Airport (KOKB) – A relaxed, non-towered Class E airport with an ideal training environment and breathtaking coastal views.
Gillespie Field (KSEE) – A Class D airport perfect for gaining experience in controlled airspace, with beautiful mountain scenery—don’t forget your camera.
